Capturing UF life through a viewfinder

Packed with diverse students and faculty, the University of Florida brings together individuals from all around the world – many with unique, intriguing stories to tell.

I thought to myself, why not collect some of these stories and feature them on a blog?

Inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York, Life at the Swamp features personality profiles of students and faculty at UF.

In addition to these personality profiles, themes such as feminism and freshman advice will be featured on this blog in order to get a closer look at the opinions and ideologies of students.

Each personality profile and theme will be accompanied by a portrait. These portraits will be taken with my Nikon D7000, a trusty companion of mine since my senior year of high school.

I hope these stories inspire individuals who come across this blog and let them know that everyone has a story – no matter who they are or where they are from.
